Christmas Concert

The West Rusk Raider Bands will be having their annual Christmas Concert December 9th @ 7:00p.m.  This year the concert will be held in the High School Gym.  Before the concert you may purchase coffee or cocoa from the Band Booster concession stand.  We look forward to seeing you there.  ts

Please leave a post with your name and the dates that you would like to work.  Students are welcome to work with a parent.  Each game needs 3-4 workers.  Tournaments need workers in shifts.  If you are free to work week days during a tournament please let us know.

Tailgate Party

The band would like to thank the West Rusk Ag Boosters and Donnie Hlavaty for feeding 120+ kids before our last District game.  Thanks to the Stanley's for thinking about the band kids when you planned this event with the other Ag boosters.  Many band parents donated food for this event as well as other games played on the road in Tatum.  Our Raider family Rocks!
Congrats to our West Rusk Varsity football team on being District Champs!  Good luck in the playoffs!  We'll be with you every step of the way!

The band boosters have been working hard this year trying to help raise money for the band. We had such great response with our first poinsettia sale last year that we decided to do it again this year but time is running out! We encourage you to support your Raider Band with your purchase a beautiful poinsettia to enhance your holiday decorations. Click here to print an order form. You can then send your completed order form to Mr. or Mrs. Haffner via your band student or hand it to any booster club member. Welcome to our Blog!!  I hope that you check in with us on a weekly basis for band news.  Please feel free to leave comments. 

The Band will march at contest this Saturday, October 30th in Palestine at 4:00 p.m.  We would love to see a lot of Raider fans at this competition.  If you can't make it to Palestine come to Joaquin Friday night for a preview.  You won't be disappointed. 

Our Band Boosters will have our first concession stand Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.  This is a volleyball playoff game that West Rusk is hosting.  If you are interseted in helping please leave a comment.  We will be asking for a lot of parent participation during basketball season.  Yes, your child can work with you.  Please keep checking this blog for concession dates.
